This week we break bread with John Fell. John is part of the team that brings the epic Moseley Folk & Mostly Jazz festivals to Moseley park every year. John helps book bands, sort the logistics of each band, and ensure it all runs smoothly. The festivals have become a huge feature of the summer. They are loved & visited by thousands of families, who enjoy a variety of musical artists as well as the best food the city has.
What Is Moseley Folk & Arts Festival?
Set in a stunning eleven-acre woodland park in the heart of Moseley, Moseley Folk is the Midland’s biggest family-friendly folk & arts festival. The festival takes pride in bringing a lineup that showcases a vast variety of artists. From traditional to well-known international acts, Moseley Folk has something for everyone.
What Is Mostly Jazz, Funk & Soul?
Mostly Jazz is a result of the success of Moseley Folk Festival. Excited to bring a different genre to the beautiful Moseley Park. It was important to stay true to the family-orientated nature of their first festival. Notable artists over the year include The Specials, The Jacksons, Burt Bacharach & Public Enemy.
Moseley Folk & Food Festival?
As the festivals have grown so has their food offering. Not content with the usual over priced poor quality food often found at festivals. Moseley Folk & Mostly Jazz have the best independent food traders. With the likes of O.P.M, Bonehead, Zindiya & The Seafood Shack you could mistake this for a food festival.
Moseley Folk Festival 2022
This years festival takes place from the 2nd to the 4th September. It promises to be one of the best yet, with a variety of different artists from all over the folk genre. Some of the acts include Supergrass, Seasick Steve, The Coral & John Cooper Clarke.
